Today was an important day, T.E.S.Foundation was invited in the afternoon to the digital retinal cameras hand over ceremony.
One of the cameras was donated by Mr. Bernard Gruson from HUG (Hôpitaux Universitaire de Genève) who was represented by Mr. Alain Fong, the second camera was donated by Professor David Owen from Wales.
The ceremony was led by Minister of Health and Quality of Life Satya Veyash Faugoo, Prime Minister Dr. The Honourable Navinchandra Ramgoolam also assisted the ceremony.
On the operating theatre side, 5 phacos (three of them were hard nucleus) and about 20 consultations were performed by Dr Tabatabay and his team. Harry kept up the good work with the laser.

Dr Moïra Bumbacher and Pr. André Roth, from Geneva, went to Mauritius from January 14 to January 24 2008. They have spent consistent amount of time teaching diagnosis and care of strabismus patients. Furthermore, they have operated and taught modern surgical techniques surgery in that field.

Friday 25th to Monday 28th January 08
Dr Tabatabay and his Team arrived early saturday morning in Mauritius. We where welcomed by Mr D. Jinerdeb Ministry of Health Assistant Secretary. After a small briefing of the weeks goal we were droved to Moka hospital to drop off all the medical supplies.
Sunday was dedicated to patients examination, Cyrus performed about 50 consultations and Harry 20 while Aboo unpacked and prepared the medical gear for the week.
Monday, Dr Tabatabay performed 5 complicated vitrectomies and there were done with 20 gauges set, sutureless technic.

T.E.S. Foundation will be flying off to Mauritius on Friday the 25th January 2008 for one week work in partnership with the Ministry of health and Moka Eye Hospital.
