The second mission this year was conducted by Prof André Roth and Dr Moïra Bumbacher. They examined and performed surgery on children and adults suffering from severe strabismus problems. Surgeons and the whole medical team of the Moka Eye Hospital are working with Prof Roth and Dr Bumbacher as a real team as this is their 6th mission in Mauritius.
During this mission, Mrs Nadia Pichot, optometrist, came over from Geneva to teach doctors and nurses how to use and analyse pictures taken with the newly acquired OCT machine (see post below “OCT donation ceremony at the Moka Eye Hospital”). Over 100 patients were examined during that week.
